Saganaki halloumi, the ultimate taste temptation.

Halloumi is the king of Cypriot gastronomy, a white chewy cheese that can be used in both cold and hot dishes, having excellent taste.

Indicatively, halloumi can be used perfectly in:

  • With fruit
  • In omelets
  • Fried
  • In a pie
  • On small breads and tartlets
  • Saganaki
  • Roasted

One of the best recipes you will find with halloumi, is halloumi saganaki, a uniquely delicious dish that can very quickly and easily become your lunch, dinner, or a very nice appetizer.

Let's see together how it is made:

  • Cut the halloumi cheese into pieces. If we do not like it salty, we can first rinse it with a little water.
  • Put the flour onto the pieces of halloumi from all sides.
  • In a pan that that is heated in high heat, and we have heated the oil, we add the halloumi and we fry it for 3΄ on each side.
  • Remove the halloumi cheese pieces from the pan and for extra freshness you can add lemon juice, oregano, and a little pepper.

Combine it perfectly with fresh bread and salad.
